Even today, the creative modeling in wax is a complementary laboratory discipline and support for design because it deals with the creation of prototypes based on the three-dimensional and sculptural vision of an object. The sculpture in fact trains the mind to see beyond the material and allows to evaluate the realization of a project with knowledge of the facts and technical and functional analysis of the project itself. The approach and knowledge of both manual and digital goldsmithing techniques and the various types of materials is essential for adequate professional training, which leads the student to focus on the goal to be achieved, combining design, fashion and art to interpret trends and styles and market needs.
